It's not a big deal, because it still edits the permissions for the app you've chosen, but it looks a little sloppy. Edit: this bug got fixed in the update of March 7, Now the good news.
LBE's user interface is simplified by splitting the main screen in three sections: firewall, permissions manager, and settings. The permissions manager is the most important part.
It has all the permission controls of the previous version, and a new permission set for you to tweak. The new permission in the list is called "call monitoring. Apps that use this permission include VoIP apps, and they have a very good reason for that. If you receive a phone call while Skyping, you don't want your ringtone to blast at full volume when you have your phone pressed to your ear. Some VoIP apps can also integrate with your dialler so calls are automatically routed over cheap VoIP instead of your carriers expensive phone service.
The call monitoring permission also lets you control your ringer volume with apps like Quick Settings. The other features of LBE remain the same. You can tell apps to stay away from your messages, contacts list, call logs, and location info. You can make sure that apps can't call out or send text messages on their own. And if apps want to know your phone number or IMEI for no good good reason, you can tell them no.
I will post that it worked in the OP. Really nice idea! Good and original work Great! Really inovative! Good luck for your project! Looks awesome. Tnx dude! Works with rasbean Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium Thanks all for the feedback! I will be updating the addon in a bit and adding on some more stuff. This is absolutely fantastic, I was wondering when something like this would be put together!
The guardians are absolutely right when they say the mobile platform is the least secure, anything that can be done to change this is beyond welcomed. Anyone tested on CNA? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 New versions are up!! Yet their github was updated last on july 6. While not extreamly current it is kitkat 4. So I got everything synced up and compiled and now ready to release this to the public. What to expect.
Well like I said source was last updated on july 6 and looks like that might be the end of baked. So my plans are to do one good build and let it ride without any update unless source updates. This is a pure source build with nothing added only changed default dpi to instead of I will modify the zip later to include a few tweaks and a couple of apps.
So far everything I have tested has worked fine. Install steps 1. Backup internal sdcard to pc not required unless you have issues then I will ask that you do it 2. Backup current rom to external sdcard 4. Mounts and Storage.. Reboot recovery 7. Install Rom and reboot 8. Once booted go into settings.. In developer options enable advanced reboot Reboot into recovery and install gapps this will keep you from having to skip through the activation junk Optional steps Install plasma's cm 2.
There is no need to use the xposed module for netflix so you can now use netflix with ART enabled. First two screen shots have a cm11 theme applied. Baked uses the new cm theme manager although there are not many themes out yet.
Finally, a blacked out ROM, thank you for this. Looks great! Netflix played a few episodes never a glitch or stutter. I had to use liquid smooth gapps because I was getting fcs with slim full build 7 gapps. Will continue to use this weekend but won't have time to check out all the options.
Can you share with me the gapps build. Thank you. In further proof the Nexus One is not forgotten. I bring you Jellybean 4. What is Evervolv? Android should handle upgrades perfectly. That said take a backup! Our updater lets you do that without any interaction Graphics have slight regression due to having to revert to 4.
Q: What is blackrose? Nightlies are prefered and are usually stable. Screens:Visit our website. Thank you texasice! You are awesome!!! It's just awesome! Thank you very much. I suddenly get reboot when i open google chrome. I also got reboot with chrome in 4. After reboot i lost all the app, but i dont lose play store. Here you are the errors in the logcat.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app Yay I will try this today itself. What else to say to you other than Love you texasice!
You never forget us N1 users Sent from my Nexus One using xda app-developers app many thanks for this! I currently have flickering and z-index style issues with it, had to revert. Its currently early days for this device and roms, as of 21st July we still have issues with CWM, Root, amongst other things so its back to the drawing board Those who knew my later edition roms know that they came with Aroma Installer, alas this is another area thats not playing ball at the moment so ive gone back to the good ole days of producing a slim rom with removed app updates zips.
We were all new to this and needes help on the way. I always flash my builds every which way I can as to reduce any risk. All I ask is that you read and follow instructions before asking a question. However I will always answer where possible and I ask users of this rom to assist each other. LBE Privacy Guard works much like an interactive firewall, which many users have on their desktop computers it feels a lot like Little Snitch, only for permissions and not network access.
Every app installed on the device is scanned and listed by which permissions it requests. If you go through those lists and apply your own settings, they're remembered. If you just activate Privacy Guard and wait, you'll soon start to see notifications as the app blocks permissions until you give the OK—and you can choose whether or not you want it to ask again for each app's request. The app's navigation is extremely well laid-out, very clean, and it cuts straight to the point so there's no confusion.
To help fight the problem of malicious apps racking up data, text, or phone charges, permissions that affect those phone services are grouped under the heading "Expenses Manager.
