I absolutely loved the part in Spiderman where it shows him in slow motion running away from the gondola full of kids to rescue Mary Jane.

I mean, it's even cooler that he saved them all, but I loved the imagery of him running away from the kids. So, even though I didn't care much for Trish's character, I didn't even hesitate to rush to her rescue instead of the doctors. It turned out that Kessler was particularly sadistic and put her with the doctors and I had just rescued a decoy. Still, that was a good twist, but I wasn't happy with it, so I loaded up my save and went after the doctors this time.

Turns out that Trish wasn't a decoy this time. So either way, she dies. It's the exact same cutscene no matter what you do. Kotor was the same way. You could play an evil character right up to the end, the make the good choice and get the good ending. Hell, you could actually kill Bastilla and she'd still show up in the good ending cutscene.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking. There's no way a game could ever pull that off. Make a handful of "watershed" events where you can make decisions that can have drastic effects on the story. Do you shoot that bad guy you just caught or take him to jail. If you shoot him, he's not a part of the story any more, but if you don't, he breaks out of jail and becomes a significant player in later parts of the story.

Do you save the girl or the doctors? If you save the girl, then she's around for the rest of the game, but the doctors aren't: and the doctors' absence should be significant somehow though, really, I thought the choice between girlfriend and 6 doctors was dumb. Choosing between girlfriend and a gondola full of children would be much better and could open the way for one of the parents to become a significant villain later in the game.

Everyone has their price to pay, even her, and that's why she's sitting here next to me. Cole is contacted again by Kessler, who informs him that Trish is sitting right beside him, held captive as a lure for Cole. Kessler also tells him about several bombs that he had set around the district, surrounded with innocent civilians. Following his GPS, Cole finds each bomb, but must dispatch the First Sons troops before he can drain the electricity to prevent them from exploding, all the while having to listen to Kessler's taunts.

Once all the bombs are disarmed and the citizens saved, Kessler presents Cole with his final challenge, sacrifice.

On one building hangs Trish, bound with a bag over her head. On the building across are six doctors all in the same position as Trish. Cole must decide to either save the woman he loves or the doctors who could save thousands of lives across the city.

The game claims you have enough time only for one or the other. It also presents a karma choice moment. It seems that both choices are technically good. I'd think the evil choice would be to have a beer and let both the doctors and Trish dangle to their deaths.

If I'm trying to maintain good karma as far as the plot is concerned, which choice should I make? I do recommend you try this mission again with the bad karma choice, not spoiling too much, I would say the bad karma choice is one of the better scenes in the game. Sign up to join this community. In an act of vengeance and guilt, Cole took the name Kessler and took a one-way trip back to the past to prepare his past-self and prevent the Beast from destroying the world, going as far as to kill the woman he loved, Trish. In an alternate timeline where Cole descended into evil and continued to make Empire City even worse, Trish continued to despise Cole and what he had become.

When Trish was thrown onto the hospital roof by Alden and Cole rescued her, Trish criticized his evil and selfish actions, killing civilians and undoing all the good she had tried to do. When Cole was given the choice to save Trish or the six doctors, he decided to save Trish, however, unknown to Cole, she was among the six doctors, who fell to their deaths instead.

Able to bring her alive for a few mere moments with his powers. In Trish's final moments, she said she was ashamed of what Cole had become, finally dying despising Cole. Infamous Wiki Explore.
